Synopsis

Her failure to obtain evidence to convict George Sala of opium smuggling sends Rosa Moreland of the Secret Service on the trail of John King, an ex-soldier and cripple whom Rosa has met in Sala's office. By a ruse, Rosa gains access to King's apartment, and he provides a home for her. For the sake of helping Rosa, King joins the gang; and they move to an expensive apartment and soon fall in love. Rosa reports that King is above suspicion; nevertheless, Chief Flint suspects her and has her trailed. King agrees to give up his connection with Sala if Rosa will marry him, and realizing that she cannot testify against her husband, Rosa agrees. The wedding ceremony is interrupted by the arrival of Sala, who has discovered Rosa's identity; and when Flint arrives to arrest King, the latter is revealed to be a Secret Service man himself.
