Synopsis
Jimmy Norton, a wealthy, handsome young bachelor, is trapped into an engagement to Sylvia Van Tassel, a society girl, whom he does not love. When, en route to her house, he is stopped by a policeman for speeding, he explains that he is on his way to the Children's Hospital to see his injured child. The officer accompanies him, and there, by chance, Pudge, a runaway orphan, believes that Jimmy is actually her father. To avoid embarrassment Jimmy takes the child home, along with her nurse, Nora, and is forced to hide them from the Van Tassels. But the wedding is spoiled when Pudge climbs aboard Jimmy's yacht and calls him "Daddy" in front of the wedding guests. Greatly relieved, Jimmy decides to adopt the child, and Nora, who realizes his virtues, finds happiness in his arms.
