Synopsis

Bob Morris is given an opportunity in his father's factory after being expelled from college but loses his position because of his ungovernable temper. He is arrested by mistake while tramping through the Northwest, but John Hobart, a wealthy lumberman, has him released into his custody. After quelling Bob's fiery temper in a fight, Hobart becomes fast friends with the boy, who learns self-control and assumes many of Hobart's responsibilities. Bob persuades Hobart to marry the young widow of a college friend, but when Mary arrives, Bob falls in love with her against his will. Hobart resigns himself to their youthful romance, and when they are trapped by a raging forest fire, he heroically saves them and sacrifices his feelings for their happiness.
