Synopsis

By borrowing money from a wealthy Indian friend, Bob Willis, foreman of the Bar X Ranch, comes to the assistance of Ross Hunter, the invalid owner of the ranch, when Ross is pressed for payment of a note. Ashland, a gambler who holds the note, has designs on Dorothy Hunter; and seeing in Willis a dangerous rival, he directs the sheriff's suspicions toward Willis as a bandit and has Channing, one of his henchmen, plant stolen currency in Willis' bunk. Willis is arrested, and Dorothy goes to Ashland to seek his release; she learns of Ashland's complicity, and he pursues her to the ranch. Willis observes the chase from the jail, and by a ruse, escapes. The sheriff follows and learns the identity of the true culprit. ... Willis finds happiness with the girl.
