Synopsis

Sam and Molly Thornhill, a model married couple very much in love, are nevertheless continually quarreling. On the eve of their wedding anniversary, Sam is detained at the office by his boss to help entertain some buyers, and in his haste to leave he fails to notice a pair of silk stockings slipped into his pocket by a lady. Molly and her friend George Bagnall then hear about the case of another wife who obtained a divorce after finding a silk stocking in her husband's clothes. ... Judge Moore, a mutual friend, decides to teach the Thornhills a lesson and suggests a divorce to Molly; she halfheartedly agrees and is granted a quick separation. Both go to the beach to visit friends and are obviously unhappy until the judge suggests that a compromising situation would nullify the divorce. She hurries to what she believes is her husband's bedroom but is confronted there by Bagnall and his fiancée; Sam enters, however, and clasps Molly in his arms.
