Synopsis
Johnny Carroll falls among thieves in the city and when arrested by Detective McQuade for picking Judge Kerrigan's pocket is released by the judge, who remembers the boy from his hometown and persuades him to reform. He returns home, takes a job in a grocery store, and revives his romance with Betty Bedford. All goes well until his confederates track him down and induce him to crack the safe in Mr. Bedford's store, threatening to reveal his criminal career if he refuses. He opens the safe but refuses to be a party to the crime and fights the gang. Betty returns with help, the thieves are captured, and Johnny and Betty are married.
