Synopsis
Lightnin' Bill Williams, who owns a 50,000-acre spread near Cactusville, has lost his nerve after a fall from a cliff. Daniel Carson, an oil promoter, and Lionel Jay Murphy, a geologist, discover oil deposits under Bill's ranch and set out to swindle him. Ed Hookem, one of Bill's ranch hands, hypnotizes Bill, and he reverts to his former fighting self. Bill prevents a dynamite explosion in his well and inadvertently discovers that he has struck oil. Carson and Murphy are driven off, and Bill wins the love of Marie.
