Synopsis

When young bantam weight fighter Jack Ranney agrees to challenge "Young" Kilroy, he is unaware that Kilroy's crooked manager has fixed the fight in Jack's favor. After he knocks his opponent out with his first punch, Jack is informed that Kilroy is dead, and the fighter flees to the West. Afterwards, Jack's sweetheart, Mary Dwyer, learns that Kilroy is alive and forces his manager to turn over the gate receipts. Meanwhile, Jack, boasting that he is a killer, finds a job on a ranch, but his fellow ranch hands deride him as a greenhorn. Prompted by a letter from Jack, Mary travels West to join him and arrives just in time to see Jack prove his mettle during a raid by Lopez Cabrillo and his gang. Alone at the ranch, Jack manages to hold off the entire gang with only his fists until reinforcements arrive.
