Synopsis

Stoddard and the Wop are the terrors of Pomptonvale prep school. One night, while eating in a restaurant, the Wop finds a pearl embedded in an oyster, which sparks visions of a trip to the Solomon Islands where treasures in the shape of pearls await them. Before they can embark upon their adventure, Stoddard succumbs to the charms of Eloise Randall, the schoolmaster's daughter. Attempting to find another pearl to present his new love, Stoddard consumes enough oysters to send him to the school infirmary. Several days later, his old sweetheart, Lucille Graham, pays Stoddard a visit in the hospital and Stoddard decides to remain in Pomptonvale, thus dispelling all dreams of a pearl empire.
