Brief Synopsis

A young attorney hopes to better his position in the business world by making a favorable impression socially. But his wife, a careless and slovenly woman, presents an obstacle to his hopes. He begins to squire about his secretary, and an affair ensues. His wife, however, decides she can go him one better and embarks on a change in lifestyle.

Synopsis

When Muriel Rossmore begins to pay more attention to her household duties than to her appearance, her husband Rex begins to seek the attentions of his attractive young secretary. Upon discovering his flirtation, Muriel contemplates suicide; but when she notices her reflection in the bathroom mirror, she determines to glamorize herself. Once transformed, Muriel enters the social whirl and draws the interest of playboy Hal Gordon. Rex becomes alarmed at his wife's newfound popularity, and realizing Muriel's importance to his life, gives up his outside interests for a reconciliation with his wife.
