Synopsis
When Harry Weatherby's millionaire father discovers that his son secretly has married country girl Mary Ellen McKay, he decides to break them up. Feigning enthusiasm for the marriage, he throws a party for the newlyweds, but also hires some of his underworld cronies to get Mary Ellen drunk. Harry arrives at the party late, and, when he sees an inebriated Mary Ellen in another man's arms, he walks out on her. Despondent, Mary Ellen tries to commit suicide, but Doctor Cameron saves her. Then, Harry finds out about his father's trick and, returning to Mary Ellen, begs her for a reconciliation. At first Mary Ellen refuses him, but finally she agrees to take Harry back.
