Synopsis

Father made his millions in pork and was proud of the fact, but his social climbing wife wanted to forget that there was ever such a thing as a pig. Consequently, she sends her daughter Susan to finishing school where the girl adopts a sophisticated, blasé manner. Displeased with the change in his daughter, Father introduces Speed Cannon, a rapid-fire young businessman, to Susan, in the hope that he will succeed in diverting the girl's attention away from the superficial. Speed becomes enamored of Susan, but her mother insists upon her marrying a count. Mother nags Susan, wearing down her resistance, until she agrees to the wedding. Just as the ceremony is about to take place, Susan experiences second thoughts and calls Speed to save her. True to his name, Speed whisks Susan from the altar and carries her away to elope.
