Synopsis

Dorothy Grant returns home from finishing school determined to contribute to the American effort in World War I. To the amusement of her parents, she organizes a Girls' Aviation Corps., ordering uniforms and arranging for drills with a veteran of the Spanish-American War. Dorothy's father, Franklin Grant, owns a munitions factory, where he has posted a sign warning "Beware of Spies." Dorothy assumes that William the butler is a spy because of the odd way he cuts his grapefruit, but actually he is a Secret Service agent. Lena, the cook, and Henry, the chauffeur, learn that Dorothy knows the password to the factory, and in order to force the secret from her, they imprison her. Hearing that they plan to blow up the factory, Dorothy staunchly refuses to divulge the password, even though her life is in danger. Eventually, she is rescued by William and proclaimed a heroine, which so impresses her boyfriend, Craig Allison, that he enlists.
