Synopsis

On a South Sea island, wealthy hunter Scott Quaigg finds Tiare, the daughter of a Scot and a native woman, and easily gains permission from her father to marry her. While returning to his home in New York, Quaigg treats Tiare roughly; and he throws Captain Croft overboard when he defends her. Boasting that he can tame Tiare with much the same methods he uses with his pet leopard, Quaigg instills fear in her with his whip and by preying on her superstition. Tiare mistakenly shoots Croft, and Quaigg releases the leopard to attack Tiare. The beast turns on its master but is killed by Croft, who returns to the South Seas with Tiare.
