Synopsis

J. Worthington Butts, Jr., the drunken son of wealthy parents, sleeps by day and carouses by night. After a particularly wild day, during which Butts meets a group of chorus girls at the beach, parties with them all night and is delivered on his doorstep along with the morning milk, Butts, Sr. devises a plan to reform his son. Given the keys to the family wine cellar and told to do his worst, Butts, Jr. arranges an extravagant party with the chorus girls. The music is provided by an orchestra of monkeys; midway through the party, lions emerge from a giant cake and pursue the guests. The ruse, perpetrated by Butts, Sr., has the desired effect: Butts, Jr. thinks he is in the grip of delirium tremens and swears off liquor.
