Synopsis

Cheyenne Harry arrives in the town of Rawhide, where he befriends cowboy Cimmaron Bill and Bess Thurston, who works in the local dance hall in order to support her sick mother. Beau Ross, the leader of a gang of outlaws, is infatuated with Bess, and after he convinces her brother Jack to join his gang, he abducts her. Beau captures Cheyenne, but the latter escapes by overpowering Jack and stealing his clothes. Disguised as Jack, Cheyenne catches Beau, and the two embark on a fifty-mile walk across the desert. When they finally reach the nearest water hole and find it dry, Beau expires, while Cheyenne is rescued by Cimmaron Bill.

Notes

In response to the Ohio Censor Board's objection to the word "Hell" in the title, a Universal executive renamed this film, The Three Bad Men. Motion Picture News reviewed it under the latter title, crediting the scenario to E. B. Lewis. Modern sources include M. K. Wilson and Steve Clemento in the cast.
