Synopsis

When railroad executive Richard Craig marries Kate, his stenographer, he insists that his young associate, Paul Hessert, whom he would like to see settle down to a less hectic lifestyle, move in with them. Soon, however, Richard starts spending all of his time at the office, and Kate and Paul fall in love. When Richard finds out, he agrees to a divorce, but then, even after Kate and Paul have gotten married, he tries hard to break up their relationship. At the office, he virtually invites Paul to steal company funds. When Paul finally does, Richard forces him to confess to Kate, and then, instead of having him arrested, he makes him leave town. Afterward, a remorseful Kate goes back to work for Richard as his stenographer.
