Synopsis

Believing that a wife should not impinge upon her husband's freedom, newlywed Barbara Townsend refuses to act jealous or question her husband Richard's comings and goings, which causes him to doubt her concern and love for him. Convinced by adventuress Dorothy Mitchell that Barbara is neglectful and indifferent to their marriage, Richard asks for a divorce and Barbara, not wishing to keep him against his will, acquiesces. They arrange for Barbara to catch Richard in a phony tryst with another woman who turns out to be exceedingly ugly. While they wait three months until the divorce is final, Barbara discovers that Dorothy is planning to marry Richard, and playing "the other woman" role herself, Barbara succeeds in breaking up that romance and winning her husband back.
