Synopsis
Ann Page, affianced to psychologist David Hale, is subconsciously influenced to marry Donald Duncan instead because he apparently resembles her dead father. But she learns that Duncan is a brute and a crook when he takes her to a cabin in the woods and attacks her. Hale, having followed the pair to the cabin (out of professional curiosity), rescues Ann. They are free to marry when Duncan's mother, who hasn't seen him in 10 years, kills her son for his stolen jewelry.
