Synopsis

When wealthy wine merchant Marcellini dies suddenly of heart failure, he leaves his fortune to his only living relatives, Guido and Antoinetta Bartelli, simple people living contentedly on their truck farm. Reluctantly, Guido moves into Marcellini's great mansion, only to find that social parasites Mr. and Mrs. Murray are trying to run his life. Sensing that Antoinetta is slipping away from him, Guido returns to his farm. Soon after, Murray discovers a will which leaves the Marcellini millions to Wade Crosby. Attempting to extort money from Antoinetta, Murray threatens to disclose the will, but Guido's wife refuses to buy him off and instead happily returns home to her husband on the farm.
