Synopsis

Elsie Welcome, discouraged and underpaid in the employ of industrialist John Boland, is enticed to the city by white slaver Martin Druce, where she is forced into prostitution. Mary Randall, a vice crusader, takes an interest in the case and begins to search for the little lost sister. Meanwhile, Patience, Elsie's sister, is in love with Boland's son Harry, and Boland, wishing to break up the romance, hires Druce to disgrace the girl. Druce offers Patience a job as a singer at the Café Sinister, but before he is able to accomplish his evil deed, Mary overhears the plot to compromise Patience and learns that Boland owns houses of prostitution. She informs the police in time to save Patience and returns the little lost sister to her family, and Harry, learning of his father's misdeeds, embraces Patience.
