Synopsis
Monty Gray, an enterprising young man, falls in love with a photograph of Constance Lanning, the cousin of Wilbur Mason, his best friend. Learning that Mrs. Lanning is determined to marry her daughter to a nobleman, Monty visits the Lanning home in the disguise of a British lord. But Constance objects to a title, spurning the hand of the supposed Duke of Cannister, who is also visiting the Lannings. To test Monty's manhood, Constance arranges for her father's cowboys to kidnap her and then sends a ransom note to Monty. Monty rides to the rescue, passes the test and wins Constance.
