Synopsis
Construction engineer John Marble is stricken by paralysis and imagines the growth of love between his wife and his best friend, Bob Alten. Although bent on suicide, the shock of seeing his wife and child endangered on a broken bridge causes him to recover from his illness and discover that his suspicions are unfounded.
