Synopsis

Steven Packard, son of a wealthy Arizona rancher but a derelict of the South Seas, rescues an island woman from the brutal attentions of a Russian, and when the woman dies she leaves her young daughter in his care. Hearing that his father has died and left him his ranch and an inheritance, Steve returns home with the child, then goes to Arizona to claim his inheritance, endangered by his grandfather because of a family feud. The ranch foreman, Blenham, an agent of the grandfather, undermines his position on the ranch, discovers the hiding place of the inheritance, and involves Steve in a mortgage that threatens the ranch. He seeks to stampede Steve's cattle, but Steve exposes his villainy and wins over the grouchy grandfather and the heart of Terry Temple, a neighboring rancher.
