Synopsis

Bartley Greer, a young man with no prospects in particular, is hired by wealthy Mr. Severn to keep an eye on his wayward daughter, Prudence, who has become a Greenwich Village bohemian. Bartley obtains a room in the house where Prudence is living, and the two become the best of friends, spending much of their time together. When Prudence finds out that Bartley has been hired by her father, she shows him the door and becomes engaged to Rolf, an artist with women as well as with watercolor. Bartley learns that Prudence and Rolf are to be married on a yacht and halts the wedding, carrying off the not-too-unwilling Prudence for his own.
