Synopsis
Jailed when he accidentally causes the death of a police officer, smalltown boy David Warren escapes to the big city with the help of some hoboes. Later he learns that his benefactors are crooks; they try to extort money from his mother; and he falls in love with Mae Andrews, the sister of a gang member. Out of a genuine love for the boy the girl stages a phony love scene so that he will return home. He does leave, believing them all crooked, but he later learns of the girl's honesty and sincerity and is reunited with her.
