The Man From Lone Mountain
Film Details
Synopsis
A girl arrives in a remote western cowtown looking for John Milton, an innocent escaped convict who was jailed for a crime her brother committed. She goes into a saloon, where she meets Black Bart, the leader of an outlaw gang, who soon steals her money and forces her to work for him. Bart and the girl go to the cabin of "the man from lone mountain," a mysterious hermit who keeps a hoard of gold hidden near his cabin. Using her feminine wiles, the girl quickly finds the cache of gold, which Bart steals. The man comes after Bart and the girl, captures them, and ties them to their horses. He later realizes that the girl has been innocent of deliberate wrongdoing and unties her. He also frees Bart, the two men fight, and he is overpowered by Bart. Bart then rides into town with the girl, and the man follows, again fighting Bart, whom he badly beats and hands over to the sheriff. The man turns out to be the sought-for John Milton, and he and the girl decide to share life together on Lone Mountain.
