Synopsis
Jim Golden, a gold miner in love with postmistress Miss Dot, has a reputation for being shiftless. He finds a baby abandoned by Indians, adopts it, and begins again to work his claim. Parky, a swindler, discovers that Jim has struck gold, and when the baby is taken ill and Jim is sent to fetch the doctor, Parky annexes the claim. Jim defeats the gang in a gunfight, rescues Miss Dot from Parky, and eventually marries her.
