Synopsis

John Conscience more than lives up to his name, and because of his inability to do anything even slightly dishonest or self-serving, he can never make any money. After convincing himself that his sweetheart, Mary Knowles, has begun a romance with a millionaire, however, John decides to alter his life style. First, he changes his name to John Power, and then becomes a ruthless and wealthy businessman. Finally, though, John's conscience comes back to him, and he decides to return to idealism. Then, he meets Mary, who tells him that she never stopped loving him, and never had any interest in marrying for money, after which she and John are reconciled and begin making plans for their wedding.
