Synopsis
After four years of a happy but sedate marriage, Amy Winthrop wants to have some excitement, and so she begins an affair with Mackley Stuart, the president of a club that espouses free love. Scott, her husband, finds them together, however, and divorces Amy, after which she quickly marries Mackley. Having a wife changes Mackley from a libertine to a jealous husband, and Amy soon tires of his possessiveness. Then, with plans for revenge, Scott goes to see them, and, aware of Amy's dissatisfaction, begins wooing his ex-wife. Finally, after convincing her to run away with him and then informing Mackley that his marriage has broken up, Scott, to let Amy know precisely how she once made him feel, deserts her.
