Synopsis

Actor Julian Lorraine comes home one day to find his wife, Viola, in the company of Vincent Grant. Assuming the worst, he takes their daughter, Ruth, to stay with Josephine Clifford, his leading lady. Viola tries to follow him and explain, but she is injured by an automobile and loses her memory. Years pass, Julian marries Josephine, and Viola recovers both her memory and her child. When Vincent threatens harm to the girl unless Viola marries him, she takes Ruth back to Julian. In the performance of a play Vincent accidentally shoots Josephine and is himself killed, thus clearing the way for the reunion of Julian and Viola.
