Synopsis
Socially ambitious Priscilla Hobbs and her mother persuade Priscilla's father, George Hobbs, to borrow a large sum of money from snobbish Mr. Carter until they receive the inheritance promised to Mrs. Hobbs. Reggie Grey, who has fallen in love with Priscilla, recognizes this as a scheme on Carter's part to get his hands on Hobbs's factory and has his banker father buy a partnership with Hobbs when Mrs. Hobbs's inheritance proves to be much smaller than anticipated.
