Synopsis

Escaping from the shallowness of London society, Sir Philip goes to Norway, where he falls in love with Thelma. While Philip is mountain climbing, however, his rival for Thelma, the wealthy, unscrupulous Mr. Dyceworthy, tries to seduce her. Philip returns just in time to save Thelma, and then, after marrying her, brings her to London. After Thelma is introduced to British high society, a jealous former sweetheart starts spreading rumors of Philip's infidelity. Naively believing the stories, Thelma becomes convinced that Philip is no better than Dyceworthy, and so she returns, alone, to Norway. Philip follows her, however, and is reconciled with Thelma after proving to her that all of the rumors were false.
