Synopsis

After winning the world's light heavyweight title, Sandy Donlin is told by a doctor that he will never fight again because of a torn ligament in his arm. Sandy quits the ring and accepts a position as the foreman of the northwoods lumber camp of J. Van Dyke Parker, a millionaire lumberman who is plotting to obtain the lands of Farot, his greatest business rival. Sandy meets Farot's daughter, Jean, and, despite her initial distrust of him, he falls in love with her. Parker's men dynamite the dam where Farot's logs are stored, jamming them in the river. Unable to get his logs to market, Farot is faced with bankruptcy. Sandy decides to return to the ring, hoping to raise enough money with his fists to meet Farot's notes. With Jean's ringside encouragement, Sandy wins the fight, saving Farot from his creditors and insuring a lifetime of happiness with Jean.
