Synopsis

At the harvest fiesta, Don Luis expects to announce the betrothal of his son, Audre, to Isabella, the daughter of a neighboring don, but Audre plans to elope with Erolinda, the daughter of the ranch superintendent. They are surprised by Vargas, who believes that his daughter has been dishonored and shoots Audre. The latter's vaqueros, believing him to be murdered, storm the house, but Erolinda holds them at bay. Audre pacifies his men, then kisses Erolinda in their sight, thus claiming her as his bride.
