Synopsis
Contrary to his mother's wishes, rather than becoming a society fop, Phil Burnham elects to learn his father's contracting business from the bottom up. To accomplish this, Phil conceals his identity and takes a job as a mason's assistant. On the job he meets Susie Nolan as she brings lunch to her father Jim, who also works in the brickyard. The two fall in love, but when the Nolans inherit a large sum of money from a rich relative, they begin to treat Phil as a fortune hunter. Susie, unhappy with the airs that she sees her family assuming, arranges for them to lose their money by investing in worthless stock. Jim returns to the brickyard, and Phil, after revealing his true identity, offers him his old job back and then proposes to Susie.
