Synopsis

Maurice Sorbier, one of the most successful divorce lawyers in Paris, is himself divorced by his wife, Alice, when he becomes excessively involved in his work. Alice then marries Count Zapata, greatly disappointing her admirer, Guido, an aviator and ace of hearts. Alice gradually comes to realize that she does not love Zapata, but he refuses to give her a divorce. The attentive Guido suggests that Alice ask Maurice for his professional help, which she does, primarily in order to see him again. Guido takes Zapata for a ride in his plane and, by means of a series of perilous stunts, forces him to sign a divorce agreement. When Guido returns to the ground, expecting to find a waiting Alice, he finds that she and Maurice have run off together. Guido seeks solace in the love of Marianne, a temperamental actress whom he does not much like.
