Synopsis

Pamela Sayre, the pampered darling of New York society, lives with her two maiden aunts, Agatha and Eloise. Bertie Holden, the unambitious son of wealthy parents, is in love with Pamela, who entertains fancies of masculine, daring men. Upon meeting elderly womanizer Charles Van Gordon, the head of a Wall Street firm and a recently-appointed member of the Government war board, Pamela decides to flirt with the old man to arouse Bertie's jealousy. Her plan succeeds, and Bertie proposes marriage, but Pamela refuses him, accepting instead an offer of marriage from Van Gordon. Bertie, heartbroken, leaves for Thousand Islands to forget his sorrows. Crafty Aunt Eloise, knowing that her niece really loves the young man, arranges for Van Gordon and Pamela to go there for a rest. While there, Van Gordon and Pamela are attacked by foreign agents seeking government plans in Van Gordon's possession. Bertie, his manhood awakened, defeats the agents, saves the plans and wins Pamela.
