Synopsis

Wealthy Jim Winslow marries Judy O'Grady, a manicurist, and is disinherited by his family. He soon tires of the struggle to earn a living and appeals to his parents, who demand that he divorce Judy. Judy, determined not to give up her child, Jimsy, or to allow a divorce, takes a position at an establishment used as a front by criminals; and when she is innocently involved in a crime and is arrested, she is convicted by the false testimony of her husband. Jim informs her that Jimsy is dead, and she swears that upon her release she will seek revenge, though she is comforted by Ted Carroll, her lawyer and former beau. Judy escapes and confronts Jim with a revolver during a masked ball at his home, but she is diverted by the appearance of Jimsy. Carroll obtains proof of her innocence, assures her of a pardon, and is happily united with Judy, now free of Jim.
