Synopsis

Physician Allen Erskine and his friend Mark Sheridan, an explorer, both become infatuated with Sylvia Hayes, who is visiting Allen's aunt, and she marries Erskine. The explorer leaves for Africa; and returning 6 years later, he finds that the Erskines' romance has faded and that only their child holds them together. Sheridan confides to Sylvia his continuing love for her, and she, convinced that her marriage was an error, confesses her love for him. Erskine agrees to a separation in the interest of her happiness. Realizing the situation, Aunt Elizabeth arranges for the child to be "kidnaped" for a day. Turning to each other for consolation, the Erskines are reunited, while Sheridan finds sympathy in the affections of the aunt.
