Synopsis

Auriole Praed is much admired by neighboring farmer Leo Bannister, but she finds his brash tactics bewildering. She reluctantly leaves him to join her brother in Paris where she marries Otto Bettany, a young artist. Upon their return home, Bannister, who has neither forgotten nor forgiven Auriole, plans Otto's downfall through the medium of Ida Angley, the season's stage success. After insuring that Otto is ensnared of Ida's charms, Bannister uses every cajolery to regain Auriole's love. Auriole has implicit faith in her husband, however, thus proving herself to be the greater woman and recapturing her husband's love.

Notes

Information in the copyright descriptions notes that Boyesen's play was shown extensively on the continent. The listing in the copyright statement of Charles S. Beranger as author is probably an erroneous reference to Clara S. Beranger, who wrote other films for the Frank Powell Producing Corp. This was Braodway star Marjorie Rambeau's first film and the first production made by the Frank Powell Producing Corp.
