Synopsis

To please her selfish and calculating mother, Dorothy Gordon is induced to marry wealthy Geoffrey Marsh, though she loves Robert Brent, a young brain surgeon. Aboard his yacht, Marsh attempts to force himself on the girl during a storm; he is repulsed, and Dorothy is rescued from the sinking boat, while Marsh is assumed to be dead. Dr. Brent restores her health, and in time they are married and are expecting a child when Brent announces he is to perform an operation on an amnesia victim whom Dorothy recognizes as Marsh. Though their marriage and happiness are at stake, Brent refuses to neglect his professional duty, and the operation is a success. Marsh, however, realizing the consequences, feigns continued loss of memory and leaves them to their happiness.
