Synopsis

In a fishing village situated in the South Seas lives Lorelei, a beautiful young girl with romantic dreams who believes she is the daughter of Paul, the seal hunter. One night, Lorelei decides to act out her fantasies and poses on the rocks as the famous nymph. From his yacht at sea, Dorian, the wealthy young ward of John Gray, hears Lorelei's song and goes to investigate in a small boat. When the boat founders on the rocks, Dorian is rescued by Lorelei, who hides him in a cave. Convinced that Dorian has drowned, the crew of the yacht sails away. When John Gray learns of his ward's disappearance, he sets off to search for him. Dorian and Lorelei fall in love, and when Gray lands on the island, he not only finds his ward, but also Lorelei, his long-lost daughter who was kidnapped when she was a baby by Paul, her governess' sweetheart. Gray forgives Paul, and all ends happily with the marriage of the lovers.
