Synopsis
Jim Rutledge, a newcomer to the Pecos country, is befriended by Clem Vining, who has been constantly persecuted by the Long Loop gang, which he believes to be led by "Bobcat" Arnold, owner of a neighboring ranch. When Vining's son is killed by the gang, Jim sets out to investigate and gets a job under another name on Arnold's ranch. By interfering when Laird, the foreman, is pressing unwelcome attention upon Rose Arnold, Rutledge comes into his disfavor; he soon discovers that men from both ranches are conspiring with Laird to rustle cattle on both ranches. Jim bluffs Laird into admitting his guilt and effects a reconciliation between Vining and Arnold.
