Synopsis

Harley Hennage, a gambler, loves Marie, but remains silent when he realizes that she is in love with Oliver Corblay, a prospector. After Corblay and Marie marry, Harley moves to the distant town of San Pasqual and does not see his old sweetheart until her husband is killed while staking a claim in the desert. Harley secures a job for Marie and acts as a father to her daughter Donna until the girl grows to adulthood and falls in love with Bob McGraw. After Marie's death, Harley learns that T. Morgan Carey murdered Corblay in order to secure his claim, whereupon Harley forces Carey to make restitution to Donna. Later, however, he is killed in a duel with Borax O'Rourke, a bandit who insulted his life-long love's daughter.
