Synopsis
Jack, a nomadic cowboy, wanders into a town torn apart by a feud between the cattlemen and sheepmen. When Jack criticizes the sheriff's lack of interest in ending the feud, the lawman hands him a badge and challenges him to do better. Jack accepts the challenge and arrests the murderer of one of the sheepherders. The murderer's companions, the Flying O cowboys, immediately storm the jail and rescue him, and in the fight, Jack is critically wounded. May, a cattleman's daughter, finds Jack half dead and hides him in a hut where she nurses him back to health. Meanwhile, the cattlemen, led by Mason, discover Jack's hideout and attack. May rides across the desert in search of aid and returns with the sheepherders in time to save Jack's life. Jack and May's wedding on the battleground then unites the sheepherders and the cattle ranchers and restores order to the town.
