Synopsis
When he is fired from the village general store, Merton Gill comes to Hollywood in hopes of becoming a movie actor. He is unable to find work until slapstick comedy star "Flips" gets him on the lot. After setbacks and complications, he gets a part in a burlesque of his idol, Harold Parmalee, which he mistakes as a serious drama. Believing himself a failure, he is surprised to get a contract for comedy parts and finds that "Flips" will be his sweetheart.
