Synopsis

Ruth Harrison, daughter of cattle owner Jud Harrison, takes to a hobo who has attempted to stop foreman "Bull" Davidson from torturing a horse. She takes him home, and her father gives him a job, but soon cattle rustler "Big" Greeves tries to frame the innocent hobo, resulting in the poor boy's capture by Greeves and his gang. Ruth saves him, and after the hobo tells her of Greeves's nefarious deeds, they both go to her father, who confronts Greeves and his pawn, the sheriff. Soon the mysterious "Lone Rider," who appears sporadically throughout the film, is shown to be the hobo and in actuality a U. S. deputy marshal. All ends well, particularly for the U. S. deputy marshal and Ruth.
