Synopsis

Johanna Renssaller, who lives on a Pennsylvania Dutch farm with her parents, brother, and twin sisters, dreams of having a "beau" who will bring romance and excitement into her dreary life. Her wish is more than fulfilled when an entire regiment of World War I recruits encamps on her father's farm. Suddenly the center of attention, Johanna decides to beautify herself by taking a milk bath in the dairy, but while she is bathing, young Lieutenant Le Roy suddenly bursts in. Her screams attract Private Vibbard, who insults the lieutenant and subsequently is arrested. Both men are in love with Johanna, but at the court-martial she meets and falls in love with Captain Van Rensaller. Le Roy drops the charges against Vibbard, and Johanna rides away with her captain to be married.
