Synopsis

Believing himself to be the victim of a fatal illness, Henry Williams of Pittsburgh strikes out for Arizona, stops at a ranch for a meal, and decides to stay on with Jud Morgan and his daughter, Sally. Henry volunteers to take Sally, who is betrothed to Sheriff Bob Wells, across the desert to the train station, and they run out of gasoline. Henry elopes against his will, holds up a car with a monkey wrench to get gasoline, is forced to act as a waiter at the ranch of Jerome Underwood (the man he holds up), is chased by the sheriff and Sally's father, escapes in an automobile equipped with a wagon wheel, and in the climactic chase--after tumbling down a mountainside with Sally--decides that he is cured. He then is happily married to the girl.
